WRITING
In addition to freelance food and travel writing for (mostly) American publications, I’m the founding editor of Paris by Mouth, a collaborative food & wine website that launched in June 2010 with more than 1000 pages about eating and drinking in Paris.
Beyond that, I’ve written more than 600 reviews of restaurants, bars, hotels and shops as a contributor to Budget Travel, BlackBook, SAVEUR, Food & Wine, the BBC’s Olive magazine, the Wall Street Journal online, Frommer’s Paris, Gridskipper, Momondo, and the seat-pocket magazines of United, Virgin Trains, and Gulf Air. I’ve been featured in stories about Paris by CNN, Peter Greenberg’s Radio Show, Euranet Radio’s Europe Unzipped and Germany’s Stern and GEO Saison.
A few examples:
SNAPPING
I’m not a professional shutterbug, but I have quite a few photos spread between my Flickr site and the pages of the New York Times T Magazine, the Wall Street Journal, Food & Wine, The Guardian, Libération, Wine Spectator, and other friendly poachers.
TOURS
I organize Paris food tours for Context Travel (you can read reviews on Trip Advisor here) and work as a private guide/location scout for individuals and production crews. Feel free to contact me if you’d like a custom tour to taste some of the most ridiculously yummy things in Paris.

Meg you look great and so glad you are doing what you like.
Meg,
We loved having you as a guide to introduce us to a bit of the culinary world in Paris. You made our trip to Paris memorable and fun and introduced us to unforgettable treats. We wish you continued success.
Warm regards,
The Kan Family
Hello Meg. A note with sincere thanks for a lovely Sunday walk through Marche Aligne. By the way, we ate at FL on Wednesday night and thought it delicious. Nicholas was a lovely host, and it is located next door to our hotel!
Food karma, n’est-ce pas? The Ficelle picardie was heavenly.
