Today’s challenge as part of the Edible Advent Calendar:

Can you name this treat?

Leave your answer (product/location) in the comments section below. The reader who has accumulated the most victories by December 24 will receive an edible Christmas present from me. I’ll keep your guesses hidden until the answer is revealed tomorrow on Budget Travel, then I’ll publish the comments and name the winner for this challenge.

YESTERDAY’S WINNERS:
That one was pretty easy, what with the word “camembert” scrawled on on the sign. Nonetheless, the following earn a point for correctly naming that which smells of “les pieds de Dieu” from Quatrehomme. AnneSophie, Kelaine and Jamie Samons. Theresa nailed the stink but not the source, but I liked her alternative so much that I’m giving her a point anyway.  Half point to Lil for her cheeky answer. The full description of this delicious thing will be appearing later today on the Budget Travel Paris Page.

Honestly, I had no clue. But when I clicked on the picture to get a closer look, it brought up your Flickr page with the caption “Pain des Amis, Pain des Idees.”

  2. Sophie says:

it looks like focaccia, but denser. since i don’t know the exact kind of bread, i’m just going to say bread. but the gorgeous interior HAS to be du pain et des idées. non?

  3. Zeva Bellel says:

“Pain des amis” at the bakery Du Pain et des Idées

  4. Theresa says:

Yves Toudic ? Du pain et des idées… Pain des amies. You are killing me with the frustration of not having time, every day, to actually reach these places.

  5. Lil says:

The decor is of Pain des Idées, and my friend thinks it’s pain des amis.

  6. Lil says:

Apologies – too many discussion of bread name got me all confused with the shop name. It should have been Du Pain et des Idées.
