Edible Advent Dec. 22
Today’s challenge as part of the Edible Advent Calendar:
Can you name this treat?
Leave your answer (product and location) in the comments section below. This one is tricky, so I’ll award one point for the product and an additional point to those who can also guess the source. Hint: this shop has not yet been featured in the advent calendar. The reader who has accumulated the most victories by December 24 will receive an edible Christmas present from me. I’ll keep your guesses hidden until the answer is revealed tomorrow on Budget Travel, then I’ll publish the comments and name the winner for this challenge.
YESTERDAY’S WINNERS: Half a point to Janet, Shelli, Jamie Samons and Christopher for naming oysters on the half-shell. A full point to Sharon Bowman, Lil, Zeva Bellel, Kelaine, Karin, Sophie for also nailing the source – Le Baron Rouge. Well done! The full description of this delicious thing can be found on the Budget Travel Paris Page.

A golden stack of marrons glacés from Dalloyau.
Hum ! les marrons glacés de Christian Constant, 37 rue d’ Assas dans le 6ème…
Are they pot brownies????? Who knows over there…right? Happy Hoildays Meg!
Those are marrons glacé but I don’t know from where… sorry.
Marrons glacees, from (I think) Maison du Chocolat.
Dalloyau is the shop and I thin k those little gold packages contain either macarons or opera cake.
Marrons glaces? Dalloyau?
candied chestnuts form dalloyau. some of the letters are visible on the packaging
“Are they pot brownies?????” Hahahahahahahaha!! Go Scott!
Also, too, “Karin” up there should have ZERO points for the December 21 oysters on the half shell. I thought they were mussels at first, for pete’s sake, and I also had no clue where the source was. Just trying to keep things honest. I do not want a point where no point is due!
But Karin, you corrected yourself in a second comment, correctly guessing oysters before any the other comments and answer were posted! I am a generous advent overlord.
Ahhhhhh, okay then! LOL. Thank you so very much, Advent Overlord. *grins*
