Edible Advent Dec. 21

Today’s challenge as part of the Edible Advent Calendar:

Can you name this treat?

Leave your answer (product and location) in the comments section below. The reader who has accumulated the most victories by December 24 will receive an edible Christmas present from me. I’ll keep your guesses hidden until the answer is revealed tomorrow on Budget Travel, then I’ll publish the comments and name the winner for this challenge.

YESTERDAY’S WINNERS: Without much in the way of background image, it was hard to guess exactly where this delicious millefeuille had come from.  KarinShelli and Christopher get a half point for naming the dessert but not the shop. Full points go to Kelaine, SophieLilZeva Bellel for correctly naming Jacques Genin, the chocolatier who also produced these beautiful éclairs.  Well done! The full description of this delicious thing can be found on the Budget Travel Paris Page.

  2. Lil

Oyster paired with white wine. Hmm, is that at Le Baron Rouge?

  3. Janet

oh ! les belles Fines de claire ; au Bar à huîtres de la rue St Jacques peut-être ?

  4. Wine and oysters at le Baron Bouge?

  5. Oh golly. Mussels, moules, would be the food, but no idea where they are being served. I will leave it to the real foodies out there. That little girl is as cute as can be, all bundled up! :)

  6. Kelaine

Fresh oysters at the Baron Rouge.

That child looks pretty non-plussed. Does she or does she not like oysters? I have to say at her age there would be no way I would have eaten oysters. Now I’m older and some what culinarily wiser…

  7. Well, it’s obvious they’re oysters. Where? Looks sort of like the window of Le Rubis, but I’m pretty sure they don’t have any outside tables. Hmmm…

  8. oysters and white wine, eaten on top of the wine casks on the sidewalk in front of le baron rouge.

  9. Ohhh, I was wrong again. OYSTERS. Not mussels. Oy!!! I guess that is why the shells have the sheen inside of them that is so pretty. It’s OYSTER SHELL. Duh! Ah well. C’est la vie. :D)

I really need to experience more food in my life, yo.

  10. Jamie Samons

  11. They’re obviously oysters but I can’t name the restaurant.
