Edible Advent: Dec. 18
Today’s challenge as part of the Edible Advent Calendar:

Can you name this treat?
Leave your answer (product and location) in the comments section below. The reader who has accumulated the most victories by December 24 will receive an edible Christmas present from me. I’ll keep your guesses hidden until the answer is revealed tomorrow on Budget Travel, then I’ll publish the comments and name the winner for this challenge.
YESTERDAY’S WINNERS: That one – the signature Ispahan dessert with two rose macarons stuffed with rose petal cream, fresh litchis and whole raspberries – was easy for fans of Pierre Hermé. Points go to Janet, Lil, Anne, Food Snob, Sophie, Shelli, Christopher and Kelaine. Zeva Bellel and Sarah C. were close but no cigar. Better luck today! The full description can be found on the Budget Travel Paris Page.

Aaah, les voilas: macarons from Ladurée
A box that ornated can only be Ladurée, filled with delicious melt-in-your-mouth macarons.
It has been a while since I dropped in to their shop, but let’s play guess the flavour – from left to right: citron, pistache, rose, cassis, and pistache and citron (again)?
on va rue Royale ou on retourne rue Bonaparte, même sous la neige ?
de toute façon ce sera pour déguster les divins macarons de chez Ladurée…
The box looks like Ladurée and of course what’s inside are macarons! The purple one there looks like the cassis-violette. Oh golly. Whatever flavors they are, my mouth is now watering and I have a serious macarons jones goin’ on. Oy.
it’s a gift assortment of macarons from ladurée. i see what looks like violet, rose, and maybe orange blossom? and pistachio?
Macarons from Laduree. Sigh.
Macarons from Ladurée
More macaroons! From Laduree! The place of the pretty boxes. I’m such a sucker for packaging.
Ps: funny how we’re talking of this today and guess what, my friend has just came by with a box of 6 macarons from Ladurée
Those must be Ladurée macarons – but do they come in at under 10 Euros?
