Edible Advent: Dec. 25!
Ho ho ho… Merry Christmas everyone!

After 24 clues and 194 responses, we have finally reached the end of our Edible Advent Calendar challenge.
The Big Winner:

It’s Sophie! She earned 24.5 out of a possible 27.5 total points.
The runners up:
1st runner up: Kelaine, with 22.5 points
2nd runner up: Lil, with 21.5 points
3rd runner up: Zeva Bellel, with 18.5 points
The Prizes:
Each of our winners received a bid on their preferred prize from the Menu for Hope campaign. Let’s cross our fingers and hope that they all win!
In addition, our dear Sophie also takes home the big drinkable prize: a bottle of Champagne Drappier Brut Nature Sans Soufre. This unsulphered bubbly is one of my favorites – I hope you enjoy!
Thanks so much to everyone who participated. I had a great time doing this, and wish you all the best possible holiday. Merry Christmas!

Yay I have a prize
Thank you very much! Just out of curiosity, what’s the answer for today? Seems like I got 0.5 point, so half of my answer yesterday must not have been correct. Either the bredele (i.e. Alsatian Christmas cookies) or the place (Le Garde Manger).
Happy Christmas, and well done Sophie, Kelaine and Zeva!
Yay, Sophie!! You rock! Many congratulations.
Thank you, Meg, for hosting this fun and food-ucational game this holiday. I had a lot of fun guessing and learning more about food in Paris!
Merry Christmas, everyone.
Thank you again for putting on this advent! I hope it was just as much fun for you as it was for us! And that it garnered you more hits here on the blog and on the Budget Travel page.
Also, yay 2nd! Not too shabby for someone sequestered in deepest, darkest Alberta! And thank you for donating to Menu for Hope on our behalf. My fingers are crossed.
Joyeux Noel pour vous!
woohoo! kelaine, i knew you were the one to beat! very impressive. thanks again, meg. it was oodles of fun. don’t forget my idea about the 40 things to give up for lent . . . that would make a great scavenger hunt!
The bredele look delicious…I had some on a trip to Strasbourg last year, and would love to make them chez moi. Do you have any recipes?
just wanted to say, i had my cousins over for apéro tonight, and served the champagne. it was delicious, with a very nice fruity taste. yum!
